With TAGSTEN, Tonwerk expands its portfolio with an innovative ceramic facade panel designed for modern building facades. The new facade system combines the clean aesthetics of contemporary architecture with the proven performance of high-quality architectural ceramics.
The defining feature of TAGSTEN is its distinctive U-shaped profile. This unique geometry creates a calm and homogeneous facade appearance with precise lines and a striking sense of depth. The result is a facade that impresses both up close and from a distance through its clear structure and premium material quality.
The ceramic facade panels are manufactured using an extrusion process and fired at high temperatures. This production method ensures dimensionally accurate, durable, and robust ceramic elements with consistently high quality.
TAGSTEN is available in two formats and three exclusive colors:
- 500 × 240 × 30/25 mm
- 400 × 240 × 30/25 mm
The U-shaped ceramic elements are mechanically fixed to a rear-support substructure. This installation method provides a secure, long-lasting, and highly precise facade solution that meets the highest standards of construction quality and execution.
In addition to its architectural appeal, the ceramic surface offers outstanding technical performance. It is UV-resistant, easy to maintain, and highly resistant to weathering. Thanks to its low water absorption, TAGSTEN creates a durable building facade with minimal maintenance requirements.

Three exclusive color options are currently available: Dunefal, offering a subtle sense of warmth; Rodsten, bringing a distinctive and timeless brick-inspired elegance to facades; and Sandholm, combining understated modernity with natural harmony.
