Tonwerk presents the new TAGSTEN system
With TAGSTEN, Tonwerk is expanding its portfolio with a ceramic facade panel for modern building envelopes. The new facade system combines the design clarity of contemporary architecture with the properties of ceramic building products.
The defining feature of TAGSTEN is the distinctive U-shape of the ceramic elements. It creates a calm, homogeneous facade with precise lines and a distinctive sense of depth. The result is facades with a clear structure and pronounced depth.
The ceramic facade panels are manufactured using an extrusion process and then fired at high temperatures. The process enables the production of dimensionally accurate ceramic elements.
TAGSTEN is available in two formats and three exclusive colors:
- 500 × 240 × 30/25 mm
- 400 × 240 × 30/25 mm
The U-shaped ceramic elements are mechanically fixed to a rear substructure.
The ceramic surface has various technical properties.
It is UV-resistant, easy to maintain and resistant to weathering.
Architecture with Clarity and Depth
With its precise geometry, ceramic surface and clear proportions, TAGSTEN offers new possibilities for the design of contemporary residential, commercial and other buildings.
The facade system achieves hail resistance class HW 4 according to the VKF classification.
Three shades are currently available: “Dunefal”, “Rodsten” and “Sandholm”.
