Case Study reVINGIS Park Space
New Urban Quarter in Vilnius
Project Objective:
With the reVINGIS Park Space a new urban quarter is emerging in Vilnius, Lithuania, combining urban living with close proximity to nature. The aim of the project is to create high-quality residential space on the former industrial site of the Velga factory, meeting modern architectural standards while placing ecological sustainability at its core.
Challenge:
The project is located directly on the banks of the Neris River and borders the 157-hectare Vingis Park. The architecture was designed to reflect this unique location and offer residents a living experience that unites city and nature. At the same time, materials were required that would ensure high durability and blend harmoniously into the surrounding landscape.

Solution:
For the facade design, the architects at Aketuri Architektai chose to use TONWERK thin bricks. The thin bricks in taupe and anthracite impress not only with their natural, warm appearance but also with their outstanding weather resistance and long-lasting durability.
The carefully coordinated colour scheme of the bricks in NF format 240 x 71 mm enables a harmonious combination with the glass surfaces while simultaneously referencing the regional brick architecture. The combination of glass and brick creates a balanced interplay between transparency and solidity, resulting in a facade aesthetic that is both modern and conscious of tradition.

Result:
With reVINGIS Park Space, a residential quarter has been created that sets new standards for urban living in Vilnius. The combination of modern architecture, high-quality materials and sustainable concepts has created a place where residents can feel completely at home.
The thin bricks from TONWERK play a crucial role in giving the buildings a durable yet natural appearance that harmonises perfectly with the surroundings.
Conclusion:
The reVINGIS Park Space project impressively demonstrates how sustainable architecture can be realised using high-quality thin bricks from TONWERK, meeting both ecological and aesthetic demands.
The combination of location, material quality, and architecture makes this quarter a special reference project for tonwerk in Lithuania.
